MODPlug Player A freeware 32-bit digital sound player that supports well over a dozen digital sound formats. Besides the .mod format you'd expect by the program's name, you can open and play the .669, .far, .it, .med, .mdl, .mol, .mtm, .nst, .s3m, .stm, .ult, .wow, .xm, and .wav formats along with all flavors of zipped .mod files. ModPlug Player's intuitive and attractive interface has a VU meter and a switchable fourier spectrum analyzer (with mono and stereo modes). Even though its hard disk footprint is fairly small, ModPlug Player has a wealth of features including automatic click removal, volume ramping, digital bass expansion, and compilation of multi-format playlists. potato897 | Excellent-- Amishman 35's review is correct. Even better is the MODPlug Tracker (also free). It can load and edit MIDI files, load different soundbanks to your taste: convert MID>MOD/IT>WAV. High-quality sound resampling-- simply amazing! |

Amishman35 | I use this to convert MOD files to WAV because with ModPlug Player, you can actually turn OFF the interpolation and you can increase the stereo separation. Use this with Nero ImageDrive and NetMD SimpleBurner, and you will never run out of music. |
