I stand corrected!
The MP3s weren't lost when the folder creation bombed. So, it's useful for creating and moving MP3s for new artists in your collection. One other bummer is that the names are derived by whatever appears before "-" in the file name. I was hoping for something that would grab the name from ID3 tags. Still, it's good for getting a start on organizing your files, and the price is right. |

The concept behind this util is exactly what I've been looking for, but implementation problems make it impossible to recommend:
- Moves files to C:, regardless of the destination you specify
- Path info not saved from session to session
- Bombs out when the band folder already exists - and appears to delete unmoved MP3s when it happens!
Probably OK for a one-shot cleanup, but you won't be able to use it on an ongoing basis. Still, a great idea - I hope the developer reads this and updates the program! |
