 Express Dictate Dictation Recorder
Express Dictate is a professional digital dictation recorder that allows you to record dictations and send automatically to a typist from a Windows PC. Includes voice activated recording, variable recording modes (overwrite, insert, append), encryption and the ability to send via email, FTP, LAN or command line as well as direct integration with Express Delegate workflow manager. Dictation can be controlled via hand held device or foot pedal.

Digital audio recording with superb signal processing quality (32 bit DSPs are used).
Record audio and send in either wav, mp3 or dct formats.
Automatic non destructive record editing with multiple record modes including record-insert, record-overwrite and record-at-end.
Voice activated recording so long silences in dictation are not recorded.
Assign priority to individual dictations.
Ability to prompt for patient or file data before recording starts and supports a Barcode Scanner.
Send recordings automatically via FTP, Email, LAN, Command Line or directly to a Express Delegate server.
Supports recording encryption (HIPAA compliant).
Ability to 'dock' normal analog and digital handheld dictation recorders.
Attach additional files to the recordings or type in notes for your typist or for the record.
Ability to recover sent dictations.
View "Sent Work Progress" and backup sent dictations to hard drive or CD.
Can be controlled by system-wide hot keys.

Express dictate is the simplest dictation software I have ever used. Despite the fact that these guys are down under their customer service is better than my telephone provider here in the US!! |

Service and company's response to help requests are non-existent!
The Swift Sound download web site had problems while purchasing and registering software and charged me for a Silver service contract of $8.00. I contacted Swift Sound about this and after several attempts and threats they contacted me one week later to tell me that because the service contract was elected during my registration whether accidentally or not they were not going to adjust the charges to my credit card even after the threats of submitting my negative rating to Download.com. If this company does not care about their own reputation how much less do they care about your needs? And of course, that's just the attitude I got from them!
I would not recommend any product from Swift Sound based on their hard nose attitude towards their customers. I disputed the charges with my credit card company and they credited my card the $8.00.
You also have to rely on the company staying in business as every time you install or re-install their software, you need to re-register the software at their web site to get an up to date product key. If you don't do this, you will not be able to install and run their software.
And whoever heard of a service contract for a software program? I think they call it Help Files! |
