 DialDictate Phone Dictation System
DialDictate is a call in dictation server for recording and sending dictation from a telephone system. Recording, replay, editing and file management are controlled by pressing numbers on a telephone keypad. The Site License edition can support unlimited users and can send dictations via FTP, email and LAN.This system is ideal for organizations such as hospitals, law enforcement and other large entities.
Dictation Server Features
Records dictation by phone.
Supports 1 to 32 telephone lines.
Can concurrently support regular phone lines or Voice over IP (VoIP) lines.
Controls include record, play, rewind (constant pitch), fast-forward (constant pitch) and record edit.
Record to .wav or .dct file formats (only .dct allows for encryption and sender information)
Automatically send dictation recordings by email, LAN or via FTP
Recordings can be saved and retrieved at a later date for amendment.
Supports recording encryption (HIPAA Compliant).
Automatically backs up copies of dictations on the server where DialDictate is installed.
1 to 10,000 users can use the one system each with customizable recipient and user information.
Ability to change Voice Prompts and Record Menu Key assignments.
Allows user information to be stored in, and accessed from, a database.
Integrated ODBC functionality supports Microsoft Access, Microsoft SQL Server, Sybase SQL Anywhere and Borland Firebird
Uses the Audio Compression Manager to reduce audio file size and to speed transmission.

Service and company's response to help requests are non-existent!
The Swift Sound download web site had problems while purchasing and registering software and charged me for a Silver service contract of $8.00. I contacted Swift Sound about this and after several attempts and threats they contacted me one week later to tell me that because the service contract was elected during my registration whether accidentally or not they were not going to adjust the charges to my credit card even after the threats of submitting my negative rating to Download.com. If this company does not care about their own reputation how much less do they care about your needs? And of course, that's just the attitude I got from them!
I would not recommend any product from Swift Sound based on their hard nose attitude towards their customers. I disputed the charges with my credit card company and they credited my card the $8.00.
You also have to rely on the company staying in business as every time you install or re-install their software, you need to re-register the software at their web site to get an up to date product key. If you don't do this, you will not be able to install and run their software.
And whoever heard of a service contract for a software program? I think they call it Help Files! |
