SMProLib is a Java library that provides a Java interface for working with the Short Message Service (SMS). SMProLib enables the sending and receiving of messages using a mobile phone (or several phones) connected to the computer via a data cable. SMProLib API provides:

Message sending

Message receipt and processing

Acknowledgement reports receipt.
Concatenation of messages and flash SMS sending are supported.
SMProLib works with any mobile phone that can be connected to the USB/ COM/ IrDA port of the computer and supports GSM standard.

10-Feb-2004	10	GregB	Just to let you know that SMLIB hasn't given me a single bit of trouble and I would recommend it to anyone making applications of this type. Having tried other products, such as SwiftNote, I find that SMLib has the most elegant interface a developer could ask for.... all complications are removed to behind the scenes and there is very little you have to do to start sending and receiving. About the hardest part was discovering to which port the phone was connected and even then I can just start up the manager on each port and use the ones that connect. Further more, it has handled and queued any volume of messages I have thrown at it. Needless to say, I am impressed by it's stability. A superior product at a reasonable price (Unlike the others).
