Your name is Jim Novak and you're a private investigator. You happened to fall into a trap that you warn your clients against: you fell for a beautiful gal with a taste for money. You had some good times, but when the cash ran out, so did she. As a goodbye present she stole what little loot you had left, your car and whatever dignity you had remaining. Problem is, without transportation you're gonna have a hard time tracking her down. Well, you've made a big mistake with this dame. Fortunately for you, she made a bigger one -- she recently tried to sell your jalopy to an old friend of yours. He gave you the address of the dive where he was supposed to meet her, and here you are, outside a rundown apartment in a bad neighborhood. This is the last time you fall for a dame you can't trust. Then again, that's what you always say. One thing's for sure -- in your line of work you've always found that dames are trouble...
