XnView is a image viewer and multimedia player.
It supports more than 360 file formats (PiNG, Jpeg, Targa, Tiff, Gif, Bmp, ...).
Support too animated gif, multipage tiff, multi-image icon, animated Jif, and mpeg, avi, wav, aiff & Quicktime files.
Browser, slide-show, screen capture, thumbnail create, batch conversion, hexadecimal view, drag&drop, contact sheet, twain...
It offers the possiblity to apply filters (blur, average, emboss...) and effects (lens, waves, ...).
Support 40 languages and exist for Linux/FreeBSD/Irix/Solaris/HP-UX/AIX.

11-Nov-2003	10	JoeOvercoat	I use this one quite often, and have never had any problems with it. Very convenient "window capturing" tool. It's not "pretty"...but it is easy to use & you simply cannot beat it for FREE. recommended.

06-Jul-2003	7	machiavellean	I haven't used the progam that much; however, the phaodhy review is far from being on target. The icons chosen for the task bar could be better, but the software is actually quite easy to use--for anyone of moderate intelligence.
