The WizardBlue Web Obfuscator is a utility designed to help protect your web site pages from being successfully searched by Spam Robots or SpamBots.
Spam emails are the curse of the Internet, by using this program, you can help protect your web site pages from being scanned and email addresses (and other addresses) from being lifted. This program uses a variety of techniques to help prevent Spam Robots from gaining their goal of extracting useful information from your web site that could be sold and used for SPAMMING purposes.
Spam Robots search your web site in a very similar way that normal search engines, such as Google, Yahoo, etc. do. They fetch your pages, scan for links to other pages and web sites. Plus, much worse of all, they scan the pages for email addresses. These 'extracted' email addresses are then bundled up into data bases and sold on the open market for use by SPAMMERs and other unscrupulous internet advertising techniques.
