I have an AIPTEK POCKET DV mini digital camcorder that records at about 10fps, and none of the popular DVD creation software that I have tried will accept both the video and audio together, so I either get no audio on my DVD or no DVD at all when I try to burn the video to disc with the raw footage from the camera.
Here is a rundown of my hardware.
OS Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
Version 5.1.2600 Service Pack 1 Build 2600
System Manufacturer eMachines, Inc.
Processor x86 Family 15 Model 1 Stepping 3 GenuineIntel ~1694 Mhz
BIOS Version/Date Phoenix 6.00, 8/26/2002
Total Physical Memory 640.00 MB
Available Physical Memory 449.94 MB
Total Virtual Memory 2.15 GB
Available Virtual Memory 1.84 GB
Page File Space 1.52 GB
All Critical updates have been installed up to date and I have upgraded to Windows Media Player 9
This program is better than any that I have bought or tried in the past.
No crashes or other problems have happened to me as of yet.
It does not install on your system or make any changes to your configuration.
This is a big plus because if you don’t like it You can just delete the file, its that simple.
After fooling around with the settings and running short videos though the program I got a perfect AVI file ready to turn into a DVD. My settings were Indeo® video 5.10 Compression Filter for the video at 30fps and
PCM for the audio. They have some very interesting additional software at the STOIK website that I intend to try as well.
All in all I really cant say enough to express how happy I was to find this jewel in the mountain of rocky software that’s out their for free or fee I give this selection a BIG FAT 10! |
